BCDA Hosts NXCITIES Philippines
BCDA’s first international conference on Building Urban Platforms for Innovation, Inclusion and Resilience, NxcitiesPhilippines, started off with a bang as experts from Singapore, Sweden and Japan shared their city building experience highlighting inclusive growth, sustainability and green technologies that will change the way we see city living. All these best practices provided delegates an understanding of the vision behind BCDA’s most ambitious project for the country Clark Green City.
Among international experts were Dr. Limin Hee of the Singapore Centre for Liveable Cities, DPWH Secretary and former BCDA Chair Rogelio Singson, Yenchin Hsu, VP of AECOM for Design and Clark Green City Masterplanner, Prof. Hans Lundberg of the Swedish Environmental Research Institute and Dr. Yoshihide Hayashizaki of Riken Preventive Medicine Program and AVP Francis Ceballos of Filinvest Land.
Afternoon session started with a discussion on startup solutions to pave the way for cities of the future. Experts sharing their knowledge were DTI Usec Nora Terrado, Kickstart Founder and CEO Minette Navarette, Uber Manila General Manager Laurence Cua, GE Philippines President JV Emmanuel de Dios.
