BCDA Presents CGC in International Seminar on Overseas Japanese Investments
TOKYO, JAPAN. The Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development (JOIN) invited President Arnel Paciano Casanova, President and CEO of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) based in the Philippines to the 1st International Seminar on Japanese Investments for Overseas Infrastructure at Tokyo, Japan.
JOIN, which was established in October 2014, is the first and only government-private sector sponsored fund in Japan that specializes in overseas infrastructure investments. It aims to promote Japan’s experience and technological expertise in support of building high quality infrastructure projects in overseas countries.
During the seminar, BCDA President Casanova made a presentation on its project, the Clark Green City, the country’s first smart, disaster-resilient metropolis. In attendance were top executives of the Japanese Keidanren.
The inaugural seminar held September 30 was jointly organized by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and the Japan Bank for International Corporation (JBIC).
