Air quality

Sets to reduce air pollutant emissions and limit the levels of particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide to WHO safe levels.







Deals with the preservation of prime habitat and prime farmland, the avoidance of building in adverse geology, minimizing site disturbance during design and construction, the use of natural indigenous plants, and the preservation of imperilled species and ecological communities.





Energy Efficiency

Looks at reducing the energy consumption by 10-30% through green buildings and infrastructure. It also aims to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, use on-site renewable energy and install an energy monitoring system.






Metrics are placed with regards to the use of local and sustainable materials and the provision for the recycling and re-use of the waste.




Water Conversation


Metrics are placed to protect fresh water availability, preserve floodplain functions, and reduction of potable water consumption.
