BCDA Conducts Seminar on Women’s Rights in Capas, Tarlac

Over 30 mothers and women members of Brgy. Aranguren in Capas, Tarlac attended the Seminar on Women’s Rights initiated by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) as part of its Gender and Development Focal Point System / Corporate Social Responsibility Program for project-affected communities. The event is made successful also by the cooperation of the barangay leaders, led by Capt. Estela.

Members of BCDA’s Gender and Development Team and Volunteerism Program engaged with the women of Brgy. Aranguren and discussed womens’ rights.  BCDA is committed to assist project-affected communities as it builds Clark Green City.

Conducting the seminar were BCDA employees, namely: Atty. Blaise Alaras, head of the BCDA GAD Focal Point System, Ms. Community Relations Head Jeng Mallo, Community Officer Atty. Haney Siclot, Organization Development and Management Officer Mike Vivas. The activity is part of BCDA’s Corporate Volunteer Program led by Legal Officers: Atty. Bert Oyzon and Atty. Gelo Cunanan. Also present were Barangay Chairwoman Estella Manlupig and Aquino Elementary School Principal Roy Balatbat. 

BCDA is currently building the Philippines’ first smart, disaster-resilient metropolis Clark Green City.
