BCDA Signs MoU with Japanese Firms

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Japanese companies on developing key features of the Clark Green City project last October 26, 2016.  The state owned company which was part of President Rodrigo Duterte’s delegation to Japan signed an agreement with Hitachi Asia Ltd. and The Power Grid Solution Ltd.   BCDA said that this deal formalized a non-exclusive framework of cooperation to conduct feasibility studies on the establishment of an energy management and storage system, a district cooling system, a total energy network system and a private utility company in Clark Green City.   The study costs approximately P10 million and are expected to be finished within six months.   BCDA also sees the partnerships as further bolstering the current administration’s vision to sustain the country’s growth through more infrastructure and economic projects.

Clark Green City is envisioned as the Philippines’ first green metropolis and projected to generate over 800,000 jobs.
